v7 of the B Corp standards, released in April of 2025, raises the bar on sustainable business, particularly climate action, through a significant revision of the standards. The new standards moves away from points scoring towards holistic performance and improvement over time across 7 impacts areas.
B Corps with recertification due dates in 2025 can use version 6 if submitted by June 30th, 2025. B Corps with recertification due dates in 2026 will report to v7 and receive a 12-month extension to their recertification due date. New B Corps will generally report using the new standard in 2026. For both new and existing B Corps, the standards’ introduce additional requirements at year 3 and year 5 to support continuous improvement.
